Ziphone 3.0 is finally out! One of the main new features is that it installs the BSD subsystem automatically. Once I hit 4 viewers on my live stream ( Click Here ) I will do a demo of it running.

Safari 3.1

Well, Safari 3.1 has hit Software Update, it adds a lot of speed to your browsing experience. I've run a few web based tests and Safari is significantly better then it was before. Also, it was way faster than Firefox and Safari scored higher than Fire fox on tests like This.

New Ziphone Version

A new Ziphone version has been announced ( 2.6 ) this works 100% with all iPod Touches and fixes the "SPAMMING AT.... WAITING FOR RESPONSE" error. I've tested this on my iPod that had the BSD root error, it works fine. One of my friends jailbroke his iPod with it too

I just rejailbroke my ipod touch. The SDK does NOT let you download to your iPhone/iTouch unless you have firmware 2.0. ( A $99 price for the certificate )

iPhone + iPod Touch SDK

Yes, the iPhone and iPod Touch SDK is finally out! When Firmware 2.0 comes out, there will be business features like WPA Business for wireless and Exchange.

The SDK comes with a iPhone Simulator, I'm wondering if i can jailbreak the simulator's virtual disk :D

The file is 2150.1 MB I'm downloading at 402 KBPS over a 8-9 MBPS Comcast connection.

It is going sooooooooooooo slow!!!!!!!!!!!

Ventrilo is VOIP Software that I have been toying with. I've been using it for a DIY intercom and chatting with my friends. For a server I am using a PIII running Win2k Adv. Server. It also runs on linux and OS X.

NES and GBA Emulator

I got NES ( a nentendo emulator ) and a GBA emulator to work on my ipod touch. It took a little of chmod 777 for the GBA emulator to work ( installer version doesn't work in 1.1.3+ ) also chmod 777 all your ROMs if they don't work and make sure they are in mobile's home dir rather than root's home dir. I'll post a video soon.

New firmware for iPhone and iPod Touch

Apple has released 1.1.4 for iphone and iPod Touch. I have not updated to it because it will break the jailbreak. Also, it will break most unlocks on iphones. I am not aware of any new features except bug fixes.

Google Maps Location

I've gotten Google Maps Location to work on my iPod Touch at my church library ( in the city ). It located me very accurately. The only problem I see with it on the iPod Touch is: you need to be online for it to load the map. If you are offline it will fail.

I just bought a copy of windows 2000 advanced server. I'm going to play around with Active Directory and Mac OS X. I've heard that a mac can join a domain.
If anyone has joined a mac to a domain please comment!
I am not looking to access shares. I want to login to Mac OS with Active Directory.

Apple's notebook market share climbs to 17.6 percent - Macworld

While Apple may be focusing a lot of its attention on the iPhone lately, consumers are clearly still interested in the company’s computer offerings. Data from one market research firm shows Apple’s notebook business broke 17 percent while another research firm said Apple has moved into third place among computer makers.

iPhone may top sales goals - Macworld

UBS analyst Benjamin Reitzes said in a research note on Tuesday that Apple may sell more than 800,000 iPhones in the fourth quarter. That would top Apple’s own estimates of 730,000 units for the quarter.
Citing continued strong demand for the iPhone at Apple and AT&T retail stores, Reitzes said his estimates are conservative.
“Our checks continue to indicate solid demand for the iPhone despite typical moderation in excitement from launch and extremely high expectations,” wrote Reitzes.
Apple reported selling 270,000 iPhones during the first weekend it was available, which was also the last two days of the third quarter. Apple CEO Steve Jobs predicted during the third quarter earnings conference call that the company would sell its one-millionth iPhone by the end of the fourth quarter.
Apple’s goal is to sell 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008.
iPhone sales will get a boost from deals Apple has reportedly made with mobile phone operators in three of Europe’s largest markets. Germany’s T-Mobile Deutschland, France’s Orange SA and Britain’s O2 (UK) are reported to have signed exclusive deals to sell the iPhone in their respective markets.
Reitzes positive outlook for Apple doesn’t stop with the iPhone. He is also expecting good things from the company’s computer line in the future.
“In addition, we believe the Mac story is exciting as demand is strong for notebooks and recently introduced iMacs,” he said.
Enthusiasm for Apple’s notebooks seems to be well founded as market research firm NPD yesterday put Apple’s U.S. retail notebook market share for June 2007 at 17.6 percent. That is an increase of 2.2 percentage points over the same period last year when Apple posted a 15.4 percent market share.
According to data from research firm IDC, Apple’s continued rise in computer sales puts it in third place overall among all computer makers in the U.S. This is the first time since 1996 that Apple finds itself this high on the list of top selling manufacturers.
Investors reacted positively to the news boosting Apple’s stock to $130.95, up $3.38 or 2.65 percent.
